Napa

“Just live in the moment and drink in the love like a fine wine that leaves the memories of a million grapes ripening in the sun on the hillside of Napa Valley in the spring.” Jes Fuhrmann

Napa is the seat of Napa County, California, in the heart of the Napa Valley wine region. Its downtown is known for late-1800s and early-1900s architecture, a riverfront promenade with shops and restaurants. With a population around 79,263.

The city of Napa has embarked on an ambition revitalization of its downtown area. Tony shops and restaurants dot the dressed up streets and store fronts. It also serves as the gateway to the storied and iconic wineries up the valley including Beaulieu with its tasting room in a cave, Domaine Chandon for its sparkling wines, Inglenook (owned by Francis Ford Coppola), and the Robert Craig Howell Mountain Experience vineyard at 2,300 ft. elevation and of course the Castello di Amorosa replica of a 12th century Tuscan castle. Napa’s riverfront promenade includes the Napa Valley Opera House and Oxbow Public Market, and The Napa Valley Wine Train with its Pullman cars is a popular way to visit the valley.
